Tried something new

   Well i was out the other day and on my normal route home i wanted to get some shoots of the raised ped-walk way it has some nice color and rust. But the sun was causing some major shadows as seen in the first picture.

I had set my camera to its highest resolution setting and played with some of the other settings IE: sharpness, photometry and focus. 

So i decided to try the whole flash in the sun thing and it worked near perfect it helped fill in the dark areas and bring out the green and rust. I'm sure a bit more trial and errors shoots doing the flash in the day and i will get the hand of it and how it works best for me.
