Went for a hike up the mountain over the Weekend and stayed in a hut. It was minus 20°C and i realized i Need better gloves :-/ I did not last Long with camera out but at least got off a few shots before i had to pack it in...

G'day Johann,

Yes it does look pretty cold.

For me, the DoF is too shallow, as the only thing that appears sharp is the front fence post on the right side and a few feet of barbed wire either side of it. Maybe this was your intention, but it lacks impact.

P.S. I'd gladly swap some of our heat for your cold. Day time temps have been high 30°C - low 40°C and we have a heatwave on the way. It doesnt get below 33°C at night and its like trying to sleep in a sauna. By 7AM its already mid 30's.

BTW: the cold snap only lasted about 4/5 days. now it is a comfortable 0°C ;-)
My mother lives in South Africa and is also complaining about the heat they have at the moment and the drought.
