Camera Straps

   Hello all, 

I was watching a video from Karl’s website and he talked about the neoprene straps for DSLR cameras. My question is. What neoprene strap would you suggest I buy? Right now I own a Canon XTi with several lenses (some of which are kind of heavy), but will be upgrading my camera when funds are available, to something with more mega pixels as well as features. So I will need a strap that will support multiple cameras with possibly more weight, due to different camera bodies and heavier lenses. My objective here is one fits all if that's possible, but most of all not having to worry about the strap busting and damaging my camera and equipment, while still getting the comfort of the neoprene.

P.S. I put this post here because I couldn't find one on straps anywhere. Also, thank you in advance for your input.

	Hi Jimbo, The strap I was using was a Tamrac although i'm not sure which model as it's about 10 years old. I'm sure there are others available, I think it's about 5mm thick and is quite bouncy with a heavy camera and lens but still comfortable. Cheers Karl.

	I have been using Kata strap for last 3 years. And I am very happy with it. Makes at least half of weight to go away :) I got mine from B&H You can check reviews there if interested. There was one interesting strap for 2 cameras - Black Rapid RS DR-1 Double Strap. Has anybody tried that? Edited by yxmargus - 01 Nov 2010 at 10:59pm

	Im looking for a new strap as a stocking filler this year. Had a look at the Lowpro one on Amazon and seems to get mixed reviews so not sure. Think a visit to the shops is in order as these kind of purchase requires seeing the product in the flesh ! Andy

	Keepin this thread up (a bit longer ) has anyone had plays with the black rapid straps, think the R7. I'm looking with almost kit kat breaking strain at getting one but feel the £££ is a bit too much even for me for a bit of webbing.. There are some reviews on youtube, well worth a look, cracked me up, some dude called 'the fro' from the states jumping about animated and generally abusing his D3 and the strap (must trust it!) then beneath it, good old Brit, Gavin Hoye in a much more 'British' review of camera kit. Loved it, polar opposites, kind of made me want it more! another bit of kit...... Happy holidays by the way to you all! all the best Sid

	Broke, Got the Blackrapid RS-7 and even in the short time its been on I don't think it'll ever be coming off. Carried my new baby 70-200, d300s and battery grip. All that together is a fair bit of weight. I had it on for about 2 hours without ever really noticing it (honestly) If your fed up of your camera strap and need something thats quickly detatchable I'd recommend this one highly. Build quality looks good and the BRAD strap will be needed, although probably make my own one. They also do an adaptor that can fit the manfrotto QR plates for tripods, This will be next purchase as I use the tripod a fair old bit. top bit of kit!
